The Salisbury Poisonings is a drama based on real-life incidents which portrays the story of the Novichok poisoning crisis in 2018. It was only after the show aired on BBC, that AMC purchased the rights of the series. Former BBC journalists Declan Lawn and Adam Patterson have written the show as the perspective of local heroes who were victims of the shocking incident.

The Salisbury Poisonings: Plot Details
The series is about a real-life shocking incident that took place in March 2018. The incident starts when on March 4, emergency services receive a call to attend Sergei and Yulia who has been found unconscious in the city center park. A national emergency is declared when they learn about Yulia being doubly involved in Russian and UK intelligence.
The drama-documentary also focuses on an unintended exposure of several other people, which included a police officer and a couple. Salisbury had grown into an epicenter of Novichok nerve agent poisoning in 2018. It is considered to be one of the greatest political occasions of the 21st century.
Annie–Marie Duff portrays Tracy Daszkiewicz; Wiltshire’s Director of Public Health, who played an essential role in coordinating the response to the poison attack in Salisbury. She is a hardcore believer in the importance of truth and finds it at any cost. She has no interest in pleasing people around her.
Rafe Spall will be seen as Nick Bailey who is a free, dedicated, and intelligent police officer who had made the rank of Detective Sergeant. He has a wife and two children.
MyAnna Buring plays Dawn Sturgess who was a victim of the nerve agent attack. She keeps trying to battle the highs and lows of her life and be a better mother, daughter, and person.
Johnny Harris plays Charlie Rowley, Dawn’s partner who also suffered the attack.
Darren Boyd plays Supt Dave Minty, the Superintendent. Annabel Scholey plays Sarah Bailey, Nick’s wife. Nigel Lindsay plays DCC Paul Mills, Deputy Chief Constable at Wiltshire police. William Houston plays Dawn’s husband Ted.
