Candyman reboot Released Delayed by 2021: Know the release date!


The release date of Candyman Reboot,which is  The “spiritual sequel” to the 1992 film, by Nia Dacosta and Jordan Peele has been delayed to 2021. The film was already once delayed from April to October due to the adverse conditions caused by the pandemic, coronavirus. According to the official statement, the movie has been set to an unset date in 2021.

The reason stated is COVID-19 concerns, the studio is hoping for a theatrical release when the time is right. Horror films like Candyman are usually liked a lot by the crowd. Moreover, in this case, the franchise already has a good audience, so the makers want to let the things normalize and settle so that the fiction gets the love it deserves.

 Candyman reboot cast: Who is starring in the reboot?

The film is loaded with stars who are playing really captivating characters, Starting with Yahya Abdul Mateen who will be playing the grown version of Anthony McCoy who was the baby in the original Candyman in the nineties. Abdul Mateen is well known for his superb roles in Aquaman and watchmen.

Tony Todd, will be playing the role of the protagonist, who is a supernatural stalker named Daniel Robitaille aka Candyman, The early looks and teasers of the film indicate that Tony despite being in the center won’t be playing much prominent role as compared to other movies of Candyman. Apart from these two megastars, the cast includes Teyonah Parris who will be portrayed as Brianna Cartwright.

As we above marked that the official new release date of this exciting mega film has not been released yet, but as per the reports it is expected to release anytime in early 2021, the film has already been postponed twice this year due to the increasing grip of a global pandemic. The makers are willing to release in theaters only and as soon as possible.

The makers are aiming this fiction to be a blockbuster like the past sequels of the Candyman which earned 25.8 million dollars and 14 million dollars respectively. By the time it releases, the fans should wait for the super amazing film.
